Owning your Beauty with Meditation

Annie Neborak(c)FEB.2017

To look good, one must first start with feeling good within. You have to own your look. To own your look, you have to believe in yourself.

How do we do that you ask?
Social media smacks us in the face with images that have been altered.  Advertising picks apart our skin, our hair, our bodies and our clothes.
So, we need a mantra, a way to look inside and see our pure untouched beauty.  I hear so many of you saying,  "I am not beautiful. " Yes. you are. Believe it.

So here is your challenge:
Close your eyes and see that beautiful child within. Mediate, yes, meditate on that image. Find your place of beauty where you exist purely beautiful

For me I am on the beach as the ocean waves rush in. I am part of the universe, Tiny but as powerful as the waves that caress the beach and part of the beauty that I see.

Meditating on that  gives me the ability to shut down all the criticism that comes from within my own preconceive perceptions. I am beautiful !!!

Take five minutes every day to meditate. To hear your inner beauty so when you look in the mirror you see how beautiful you are.

Here some simple tips on meditation for beginners

1.Sit or lie comfortably in a quiet place. Close your eyes.

2.Make no effort to control the breath; simply breathe naturally.
3.Focus your attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation. Notice the movement of your body as you breathe. Observe your chest, shoulders, rib cage, and belly. Simply focus your attention on your breath without controlling its pace or intensity.
4.If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.
5.Maintain this meditation practice for two to three minutes to start, and then try it for longer periods.

Your mantra is “ I am beautiful inside and out!”
