The Holidays are upon us

Getting Ready for the Holidays

How quickly this year has passed. Here, we are on the verge of Thanksgiving.  Days turn into darkness earlier, and the cold wind reminds us that snow is on the way.,

Snow bunnies wish for snow, and sun goddesses wish for warm weather. I love those 70-degree days we have had, but the needed rain is a blessing.

It feels as though the last Thanksgiving was days ago. If you are ready, it’s time to make that Christmas or Hanukkah list.

Check out Amazon Prime and shop the sales before Thanksgiving. Sales are everywhere, and stores are stocked with holiday gifts and decorations. So, shop online or in person. Early if possible, but if you are like me, you’ll still pick up those last-minute gifts on December 24th.

Looking for recipes to make that Thanksgiving dinner unforgettable?

    Check out     http://www.thekitchn.com/collection/thanksgiving

But if you want to make your own gifts or wreaths, check out the Holiday YouTubers. Ideas are flowing. Go to http://youtube.com. You will find gifts and wreaths to make at all price ranges.

While working on those gifts, listen to your favorite holiday tunes on the radio and watch those classic movies: A Wonderful Life, The Christmas Carol, and Miracle on 34th Street.

Remember to make out your Christmas card list for those who live far away. Catching up with a personal note and an enclosed photo is almost like being there—not the same as a hug, but just like sending a hug.

Sending hugs to all and a Happy Thanksgiving. I am blessed with family and friends, and

I am grateful for all those in my life.
